
Rev. SOLOMON SUDHAKAR
Rev. Solomon Sudhakar, is from India, who brings some profound life experiences, understanding andconsciousness to his ministry. His ministerial experiences ranged from rural to urban congregations,both in India as well as in the United States of America.Solomon is a fourth generation Christian and third in accepting the call for the pastoral ministry. Hehad a sense of Call and interest for pastoral ministry since he was a young boy. His Call to ministry isconditioned and driven by God's mission and purpose in Christ toward reconciliation and solidaritywith the lost and least of these people and rest of God’s creation.As a pastoral minister, he understands his ministry as an opportunity to initiate possibilities and spacesof interaction and faithful encounter with the scriptures and inquiries pertaining to basic queries offreedom, liberty, equality, identity, power, justice and finally to personal holiness. He is currentlyserving the Northern Illinois Conference Board of Ordained Ministry. His passion include, preaching,visiting and pastoral care for the elderly homebound members and those in hospitals and nursinghomes. And is passionate in administering the sacraments of the church to all God’s people.Rev. Solomon is married to Rev. Satya, who is also an ordained Elder of the UMCNIC. They have twodaughters Salomi Arunima who is aged 26, a Garrett Seminary student as well as pursuing her Doctor ofPhysical Therapy at North Central College. She is a wonderful singer and musician. And their youngerdaughter Christine Ilia, aged 18 studying at Lake Forest College, she is into percussion and singing.They have a pet dog named Archie, who is loving, playful and funny.Solomon and Satya have a loving and supportive relationship. They love to watch their girls grow andspends a lot of time with family, especially with Archie. Solomon enjoys cooking, which for him is agreat way of relaxing and to be creative. He enjoys watching Bollywood Indian movies and really enjoystaking up the role of a translator of three Indian languages to his children.

Direct the adult choir for worship and special presentations of Christmas cantatas/ Direct an expanded hand chimes and bells/ Direct the children’s choir (JAM – Jesus and Me)/ Collaborate with the musicians in the Praise Band/ Schedule the music organizations for worship and special music event/ Experienced 25 years of teaching band, general music, and chorus to elementary and middle schoolers/ Served as organist for 10 years/ Achieved a bachelor's degree in music education and a master's in curriculum and instruction.
