CITIZENSHIP MENTORING

The St. Andrew Citizenship Mentoring Center, in partnership with World Relief Wheaton, is presently active in preparing legal permanent residents for their naturalization exam.  Students are mentored one-on-one, with the ultimate goal of passing the test and gaining citizenship.  The instruction involves English reading and writing skill development as well as government, civics and U.S. history instruction.

Volunteers Packing Food

FOOD PANTRY

All in need are welcome every Monday evening from 5:00-6:00.  Thanks to Panera Bread, in addition to distributing non-perishable food and toiletries, we are also able to provide loaves of bread, bagels, scones, muffins, sweet rolls, and cookies.

We are proud to partner with Neighborhood Food Pantries and their vision for a Hunger-free DuPage.  Because of this partnership, every $1 given equals $8 of food.

Clothes Donation

CLOTHING BANK

The Clothing Closet is open every Monday evening from 5:00-6:00 in conjunction with our Food Pantry.

Our clothing bank is supported through the generous donations of our church and community members.

A selection of clothing for men, women, and children is presented each week.

SANDWICH MINISTRY

Every month volunteers gather to prepare 150 sandwich lunches which are distributed to three sites within our community. The lunches include a bottle of water, a sandwich, condi-ments, and granola bar. They are taken to Hes-ed House, Aurora, the second largest homeless shelter in Illinois, Mutual Grounds, a domestic violence shelter for women and children, and the Jim Profitt House for homeless veterans in Chicago.
