MEET OUR STAFF

Pastor Deborah is an ordained elder in full connection with the Northern Illinois Conference. Her educational backgrounds are as follows: Doctoral of Ministry in Preaching, Master of Theological Studies, and Master of Divinity at The Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in the U.S.; Master of Theology at Yonsei University Graduate School in South Korea; and Bachelor of Theology at Hyupsung University in South Korea. She is passionate about the ministries of preaching and teaching, worship and music, pastoral care and counseling, radical hospitality, and mercy and justice for the community. Her husband, Chris Chiyong Oh has served Waupaca Regional Ministry as a senior pastor in the Wisconsin Conference of the UMC. Her daughter, Hera Minju Oh, is a student at the University of California Irvine. As a selected scholar from UCI Alumni, she is majoring in Political Science and Criminology and is an activist for the peace and justice movements. Pastor Deborah and her family are so grateful for God's guidance as they have pursued their visions and missions. They have three sweet dogs, like their names, Honey, Sugar and Boba. They love to eat and walk just as Pastor Deborah and her family do.
